Please join several construction contractor associations and Management Guidance, LLP, for a series of seminars designed primarily for union subcontractors.
Each session will begin at 7:30 a.m., with breakfast served at 7:00 a.m., and will conclude by about 9:00 a.m.  The sessions will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton (formerly a Radisson), located at 2540 Cleveland Ave., Roseville.
Please feel free to invite anyone from your company to attend these.  There is no charge for attendance. (In the event of space constraints, we may have to limit attendees, but you will be notified well in advance if this becomes necessary.)

Current Economic Conditions in Minnesota, and the Special Role of
Labor Force in Future Economic Growth
Thursday, January 19, 2023 – 7:30 a.m. (7:00 a.m. registration)
Speaker:  Ron Wirtz, Regional Outreach Director for the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis 
Ron will discuss the current state of the Minnesota economy and its construction sector, the challenges of the present environment, and the special role of labor force in long-term economic growth. Using an interactive survey, Ron will also gauge attendees’ sentiment regarding recent business activity, hiring demand, labor availability, inflation, outlook and other issues.
 
THC and Drug Testing:  Keeping Employment Policies and Practices Current

Speaker:  Penny Phillips, Attorney with Felhaber Larson 
Penny will discuss how changing law regarding marijuana/THC impacts employers and how drug and alcohol employment policies can be updated.  She will also address the pros and cons of dropping marijuana from panel testing.
