DRF recently celebrated its 60th year serving the greater Twin Cities area. Founded in 1952, Donald Frantz started his company as a residential builder. He slowly expanded into commercial projects, where the company’s primary focus is today.
Project sizes today range from simple one day patch jobs, to multi million dollar, multi year contracts. DRF has been a union company since its inception and continues to be a proud partner with local labor organizations. DRF has always believed in the duty of a company to give back to one’s industry.
The three generations of Frantz owners have all served as president of the local contractor’s association (MC&MCA), where Mike Frantz received a lifetime service award. DRF’s current ownership continues this tradition; holding multiple director and trustee positions with local Taft Hartley Funds, Fair Contracting Foundation, and the MC&MCA.
