NCMA Checkoff gets the votes it needs!

Earlier this week, the Department of Commerce announced the results of the referendum on the CMU Checkoff program. The producers of concrete masonry units have approved this program, achieving an affirmative vote from a majority of manufacturers representing a majority of machine cavities in operation. This affirmative vote means that the CMU Checkoff Program will go into effect as detailed in the final Order published by the Department of Commerce on September 15, 2021. The next step in the process is the implementation of this Order, which will be the responsibility of the Board of Directors of the CMU Checkoff. Soon, block producers will be provided the opportunity to submit nominations to the Department of Commerce to serve on that volunteer board. Learn more about this program here.
